Flintborn
Fiend · Crown of Wrath
T1d4Minor
Roughly humanoid figures of cracked dark flint standing four feet tall, with edges sharp enough to cut on contact. They move in sudden jerky bursts and scream a raw, toneless sound like stone grinding on stone, fighting anything that moves -- including each other.

A Minor has no attribute mechanics: the scores describe the creature, they do not roll.
Passives
Stone Body
Takes no damage from slashing and piercing weapons; hammers and mauls break it apart normally. It fights to the death instead of fleeing at 0 Vigor.
Maneuvers
Grinding Scream
A raw toneless screech like stone on stone. Every creature within 15 ft makes a Heart save (DC 11) or is frightened for 1 round.
Reactions
Shattering Death
When destroyed, it bursts into razor fragments. Each adjacent creature takes 1 Vigor damage (Body save DC 11 negates).
Tactics
GM tactics
Charges the nearest moving creature and hammers at it without any tactical consideration. Employs Grinding Scream when multiple enemies are adjacent. Fights until destroyed, never retreats, never hesitates, and bursts into razor fragments when it finally comes apart.
Running it
Rules
- Vigor equal to Tier, with an overflow of the same size behind it: 1, then 1 more. Neither half regenerates.
- A hit deals a flat 1, no roll. A crit (natural 20 only) rolls d4 and never lands below 1.
- Crits on a natural 20 only.
- Minor: no stat modifiers or dice in play; its scores describe the creature, they do not roll.
- At 0 Vigor it breaks and flees, out of the fight but alive; Fanatics fight on into the overflow instead.
- Total damage reaching 2 kills it outright, and a single blow of 2 or more kills it on the spot.
- Vigor damage is simply damage against a Minor: its whole pool is Vigor.
- Group morale: when its group loses half its number, fled or dead, the rest check morale.
- NPCs never take wounds.
