Hunger Artist
Fiend · Crown of Lust
T3d8Minor
A gaunt, elegant figure in the finest clothes, with long fingers and an expressive face cycling through emotions like a virtuoso tuning an instrument. It paints, sings, fights brilliantly -- with abilities that do not belong to it. Always hungry for more, because no amount of stolen brilliance fills the void.

Passives
Talent Theft
A creature the artist hits makes a Mind save (DC 15) or loses one talent, spell, or skill of the artist's choice; the artist wields it immediately. Everything stolen returns to its owners when the artist dies.
Maneuvers
Borrowed Technique
Turns a stolen ability against its former owner. The target makes a Mind save (DC 15): on a failure takes 3 damage, on a success takes 1 Vigor damage.
Reactions
Stolen Defense
When hit, the artist spends one stolen ability to reduce the damage by 1. The spent ability returns to its owner.
Tactics
GM tactics
Opens with a flawless borrowed performance to hold observers, then strikes to take the most dangerous ability from each party member (a wizard's spells, a fighter's techniques). Employs Borrowed Technique to turn stolen abilities on their original owners. Targets the most skilled party member first. Becomes more dangerous the longer combat continues as it accumulates abilities.

Rules
- Vigor equal to Tier, with an overflow of the same size behind it: 3, then 3 more. Neither half regenerates.
- A hit deals a flat 3, no roll. A crit (natural 20 only) rolls d8 and never lands below 3.
- Crits on a natural 20 only.
- Minor: no stat modifiers or dice in play; its scores describe the creature, they do not roll.
- At 0 Vigor it breaks and flees, out of the fight but alive; Fanatics fight on into the overflow instead.
- Total damage reaching 6 kills it outright, and a single blow of 6 or more kills it on the spot.
- Vigor damage is simply damage against a Minor: its whole pool is Vigor.
- Two attacks in a normal turn: Tier 3+ Minors get a second.
- Group morale: when its group loses half its number, fled or dead, the rest check morale.
- NPCs never take wounds.
