Passives
Master of Illusion
Wears any face at will, turns invisible, and can plant a whispered suggestion in a willing listener's mind. Its true tiger-headed form shows in mirrors and still water.
Cursed Claws
A creature hit by the rakshasa's claws makes a Heart save (DC 17) or is cursed: it gains no benefit from resting until the curse is lifted.
Reincarnating Evil
Slain by anything but a blessed weapon, its spirit slips free and is reborn in a new body within a year, remembering its killers.
Maneuvers
Phantasmal Killer
One creature within 60 ft makes a Mind save (DC 17) or sees its worst fear made flesh: it is frightened and takes 1 Vigor damage at the start of each of its turns, save ends.
Tactics
GM tactics
Infiltrates mortal society. Uses illusions to manipulate. Curses those who oppose it. Reincarnates when killed-must be slain with blessed weapon to stay dead.
Running it
Rules
- Shield of Tier + Heart mod over a Vitality pool of 2 x Tier. Full Vigor at combat start; at the start of its turn it rolls 4 exploding d4s and regains 1 Vigor per 4. Dead at 0 Vigor and 0 Vitality.
- A hit rolls d10. A crit rolls two: 2d10.
- Crits on a natural 14+ (Cunning 22).
- Two or three attacks in a normal turn: multiattack is the threat scaler, and one swing a round makes it a mook.
- Checks morale at one-third Vitality: Heart save against the party leader's presence, or GM judgment.
- NPCs never take wounds.
